When I'm really stressed I go to the park and act like a monkey and for some reason this alwys makes me feel better.
The top 3 obstacles to getting your best female figure that many women who visit this site seem to have are very similar to the obstacles that so many of my personal training clients have:
1. No motivation was at the top of the list and you already know that my #1 solution for that is finding your real underlying motivations for training but if you're not in the mood for some deep thinking then just do the mobility warmup below.
If you don't feel like working out after that then I will be shocked because even my super lazy clients who come in feeling less than zero motivation because their boss is a jerk, or their mother is dying, or husband just got some rare deadly cancer or their kids hate them, etc. etc. always get motivated after this super easy mobility routine that only takes 5 minutes. Just do it and see where it takes you.
2. Stress was the second reason women find it difficult to get their best female figure but stress is a reality we all deal with and will have to deal with daily for the rest of our lives. In the past stress to me was a having a man-child husband and a jerk for a boss. Right now I'm stressed about our mom who is dying, my content that I work so hard on keeps getting stolen AND our teenage kids get really difficult about rules sometimes.
Stress happens to all of us daily in different ways and will ALWAYS be an issue so may as well learn how to deal with it. How I deal with it is with restorative exercises in the video below or walking or yoga or kid play at the park. Doing anything to reduce the stress will lower those cortisol levels so you can finally start getting a better body.
3. Diet was the other obstacle that women struggle with and that means different things to different women. Some women struggle with mindless eating, others with incompatible foods, others with crazy fad diets, and others with finding the time to make healthy meals. The thing is that eating in a way that gets you a lean toned body is not as complicated, strict, or time consuming as all those self proclaimed experts say it is.
The first step to fixing your diet is to stop listening to the no carb no fat no protein no happiness diet police and especially stop listening to those freaky bodybuilding chics who preach obsessive compulsive eating habits. Just start with one day of real healthy superfoods eating (example above) then try to repeat that with different superfoods as often as possible. It's what you do 80% of the time that makes the difference (meaning you can still eat and drink foods you love 20% of the time and get your best body).
