lying and cheating for your best female figure
If you feel this often then you're just like virtually every fitness professional on the planet
I would be a total liar if I told you I never felt like I was over the whole healthy lifestyle thing. I've been exercising consistently for 31 years and teaching health and fitness for nearly 20 years so it's crazy to think I just love it all the time. To be honest there are weeks, days and years when I would rather just have sugary pastries and vodka tonics as my daily meals vs what I usually have which is smoothies, lean proteins and veggies (check out ybff instagram if you want to see what I eat most of the time).
And since we're being honest here, there are times when I just can't stand the idea of another workout. I really would rather just kick back on the couch with my dog and watch movies or meet up with friends for a random night of poetry, art, dancing or burlesque.
The thing is I'm not that different than most women even those purist fitness professionals online who seem to have perfect habits yet make every effort to hide every single dietary and exercise indiscretion from their fans for fear of not being inspiring or worshiped. How do I know they're lying and cheating too? Because I have nearly 20 years of experience with clients who lie to my face about how healthy they are eating and how hard they are exercising. It's hilarious the lengths
some people go to hide what they perceive are "bad behaviors".
The truth is there is no need for that. You CAN cheat on your healthy lifestyle with not so healthy habits and still get a lean toned fit body and a happy life. The trick is to do it in moderation and most importantly to not lie to yourself about it. If you want to lie to others about it that's fine; kind of pointless but still fine if that's what you need to do in your life. I know I've lied about how bad I really was on occasion and it made no difference in my ability to get the body and life I want. It also didn't make my friends and family like me more.
It's only when I lied to myself that my fitness goals didn't become reality. When you cheat and lie to yourself you are not taking responsibility for your actions. You are not being accountable to yourself. You are not looking at the long term effect of your behavior and what you will have to do to balance that behavior so you can reach your goals. Lying to yourself is like erasing reality and you can't afford to do that when you're working to get healthy fit and sexy. Be honest with yourself and you'll find that you have the motivation and will power and dedication to DO WHAT'S RIGHT MOST of the time.
