"The exercise variety research study published in the Journal of Sport Behavior divided 114 men and women into three groups:

group 1 had a set schedule but varied type of exercise between workouts
group 2 had a set schedule but performed the same exercise at each workout
group 3 followed no set schedule or exercise regulations

By the end of the study, 52 participants had dropped out and one had been disqualified, leaving 24 people in first group, 22 in the second group and 15 in the third group.

The study also found that participants in the first group enjoyed their workout sessions 20% more than the members of the second group and 45% more than members of the third group.

Among participants who stuck with the study through all eight weeks, the members of the first group were 15% more likely than the second group and 63% more likely than the third group to adhere to exercise on a regular basis."

Researchers concluded that variety increases enjoyment which in turn increases adherence which means the more exercise variations you learn when you're on a fitness plan the more likely you are to stick with it then advance to more challenging routines for a healthier fitter sexier body for life.
